Edited by: ACIX REBORN on 04/02/2006 21:45:17 just got done with the show. Was a pretty good one.
Had BlackHole Bob from www.evegathering.com in studio.
We talked about a little of everything from the user interface to some of the more popular forum threads this week.
Entered 2 more people in the battleship and eve-trade credits drawing that will be held next week. Thanks Phoenix Propulsion Labs www.phoenix-labs.net for the battleship and Time Cube Syndicate www.eve-trade.com for the credits.
We had some guys from SNIGG call in. Pretty good to talk to the most known pirate group for a while now.

This is cringeworthy!
:( I'd make one to show you how it should be done in my eyes (I dont have the equipment really... it'd be speech captures from teamspeak and skype, and audacity post-processing at home), but I havent got either the past knowledge of the game, or the contacts for interviews, and I wouldnt want to steal your idea.
The idea is there lads, (I really like the idea of a weekly news thing like this) but it just needs to be built upon.
Wow after reading most of your responses M3ta7h3ad (nice name must be that leet thing) I'd have to just say this. Ever hear of a BMI blanket music license for internet radio, well we have....
I am a producer and engineer. This is my first stab at being a host/engineer/producer all at the same time for a live broadcast. Yes this show is live and the podcast is a recording that is automated and available within 30 seconds after the broadcast. Hence the music at the beginnning. The podcast is set to record a few minutes before to side step any network lag between servers that are not on site. If you don't like the beginning music, just fast forward. Last I checked thats what that button was put in your favorite media program for.
The music in the background is called bed music, its a widely used tool for radio. I didn't invent it nor am I the only one that uses it.
The rest is called creative license. I hate to say it but I am having fun playing around with this show and if its not up to your high standards thats your problem. It won't stop me from having fun. Isn't that what its all about in the end. If I wasn't having fun with it do you think I would continue it. I'd have to say no. So stop being so blatantly negative and hateful of something that you do not have the balls or ability to do.
OK thats the end of my rant. Not trying to be a jerk-off but I hope you get the point.
oh and little advice, if you used captures from scype and teamspeak you would have mostly horrible quality to start with. No way to up quality if you start with crap right off the bat. Also it wouldn't have the feel of live radio. Pre produced is nice but live radio gives a feeling that pre recorded audio lacks. Sure I could edit the hell out of the show and make it perfect. But it would loose its best quality. Live radio has a life of its own.

Also I picked up some really cheap pc speakers. I have been using some really nice ones and It comes out great on them. But I realize that not everyone has a set of high end audio speakers. So I am going to modulate my voice a bit so that it comes out better for the speakers that do not have high quality sound reproduction. Should be much better for the general listeners.
